Mary Elizabeth “Bit” Yaden, MD, MS, MAPP

Mary Elizabeth “Bit” Yaden, MD, MS, MAPP is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine. She is the Clinical Director of the Center for Psychedelics and Consciousness Research at Johns Hopkins. Her primary clinical role is providing psilocybin facilitation for study participants as well as medical monitoring. Her current scholarship has focused on education in psychedelic medicine and psychotherapy for residents and other medical learners. Prior to coming to Baltimore, Bit completed her psychiatric residency at the University of Pennsylvania and served as chief resident. She was recognized nationally for excellence as an educator by AADPRT as a Ginsberg Fellowship recipient. In addition to her medical training, Bit holds a master’s degree in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University and a masters in applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
