Larry Fort, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Larry D. Fort completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Science and Pharmacology at the University of Liège, Belgium. His research examines altered states of consciousness (ASCs) using phenomenological and neurophysiological approaches, with a particular focus on how subjective experiences can be measured, classified, and related to underlying physiological and neural dynamics. He studies both pharmacological (e.g., psychedelics) and non-pharmacological induction methods (e.g., the Ganzfeld technique) to better understand the phenomenological structure and potential clinical relevance of the ASCs they bring about. At the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, his work focuses on characterizing and measuring subjective experiences across various ASC induction methods.
