Corinne Kneis
Psychiatric Therapist
Corinne Kneis is a licensed clinical professional counselor and founder of Flourish Psychotherapy. She earned her B.S. in Clinical Psychology (summa cum laude) from Towson University, and earned her Ed.M. and M.A. in Mental Health Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She also holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Corinne specializes in supporting adults navigating grief/loss, anxiety, and trauma. She trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) under Dr. Michael Baime at UPenn, and she has practiced mindfulness for over 15 years. She integrates mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy into her clinical work. In addition to her private practice, Corinne serves as an Assistant Instructor in UPenn’s Applied Positive Psychology program—teaching Humanities & Human Flourishing—and has previously taught psychology at Columbia University and Anne Arundel Community College.
As a psychiatric therapist at the CPCR, Corinne supports participants through the preparation, dosing, and integration phases of psychedelic clinical trials. Her research interests center on the intersection of spirituality, clinical psychology, and human flourishing. Building on her master's thesis completed under Dr. David Yaden on psychedelic-occasioned self-transcendent experiences and prosocial behavior, she focuses on the role of self-transcendence in cultivating a more compassionate society.
