Brian Lenzer

Research Assistant

Brian joined the CPCR in 2021 while earning his B.S. in Natural Sciences, with concentrations in Biology and Psychology, from Johns Hopkins University. Since then, he has contributed to multiple clinical research projects involving both healthy participants and individuals with co-occurring major depressive disorder and alcohol use disorder.

Brian recently earned an M.Sc. in Exercise Biomedicine. His research interests lie at the intersection of exercise science, physiology, psychology, and psychedelic science, with a particular focus on how psychedelic therapies may complement evidence-based lifestyle interventions to improve mental health and human performance. He is considering pursuing a Ph.D. exploring the connections between movement, metabolism, brain function, and mental health.
