Rachel Rattenni
Research Coordinator
Rachel is currently working as a clinical research coordinator in both David Yaden's lab at the CPCR, focusing on clinical applications of psychedelics, and Austin Zamarripa's lab at the BPRU, focusing on the emerging use of kratom and kratom-derived products. Her primary academic interests are addiction (both substance-related and behavioral), eating disorders, and harm reduction. Rachel earned a BA in Science Writing from NYU, an MS in Bioethics from Columbia University, and an MPH from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins, where she focused on mental health and public health policy. Her prior clinical research experience includes studying the ethical, legal, and social implications of genetic explanations for addiction, and opioid use disorder treatment for pregnant incarcerated individuals.
