Tess Richardson, LCPC

Tess is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at the Center for Psychedelics and Consciousness Research, where she has worked since 2021, first as a Graduate Clinical Intern and now as Lead Facilitator. She is a University of Michigan alumna (Go Blue!) and completed her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. Tess works across multiple psychedelic-assisted therapy trials involving psilocybin and MDMA, spanning mood, trauma-related, and substance use disorders. Beyond direct clinical care, she works to shape the Center's clinical and training infrastructure. Tess is especially interested in the role psychedelics can play in the therapeutic process, with a particular focus on how mystical experiences and emotional breakthroughs enhance healing.
